We Skipped Friendship
We skipped friendship
Became lovers entwined
By lust
Oh how could you let such fire burn
To dust
Our love's ashes crashed down
From a chimney of chemistry
Our love's sine always peaking
Your twisted trigonometry
Tick-tick-tock
Oh how quickly WE became history
US became I
YOU became THAT
I became THIS
Wounded
Butterflies reversed into caterpillars
Gnawing my insides
Squirming to extinction
But- not before raping 2 ventricles
Your sick thirst
Made my tears run dry
But tears would not suffice
Once again
We skipped friendship
Became strangers un-twined.
Hiya, Extrodinary piece of poetry. I really liked the use of words you used and very interesting way of writing but it did make sense and was an enjoyable piece of writing. Keep them comming.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, I don't know how I missed this comment but better late than never ey.
DeleteHaha, indeed!
DeleteI totally agree with the above comment. Another thing I love about it is that it involves love which is a big part of my life at the moment and so it really hit home.
ReplyDeleteMy sis just corrected me, apparently the heart only has 2 ventricles instead of 4 yikes clearly biology is not my forte. could you change thst please :) thanks
