Emma Drinkwater - Him

Him

He looked at me often,

His blue eyes staring into my soul.

He hugged me when I needed warmth,

His body protected me from the outside world.

He held my hand when no-one looked,

His fingers entwined with mine.

He gave me my first kiss,

His lips soft and gentle.

He called me beautiful no matter how I looked,

His smile reassured me.

He told me he wanted to be with me,

His voice made it sound so believable.

He said he loved me,

He lied.

  1. Hi I really enjoyed your poem Emma, as I am sure we have all had that kind of experience in our teenage years. It provoked emotion and feeling and I think this was very nice use of words as they were imaganitive and real too. WEllDone!
